Where We Stayed: Kimpton St. Honore Paris
Oh yes, we went to Disneyland Paris. We’d had two weeks of all things European serious history so we thought a day of magic and the Mouse would be a nice break! Disneyland Paris was really cute and lovely — not as wonderful as the parks in the United States, but well worth the trip! I had to go on my favorite ride — Phantom Manor (aka Haunted Mansion). Mike went on Hyperspace Mountain. But we spent most of our time just roaming around and looking at how different the park is (yet also the same).
Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 30th anniversary and their branding for the occasion is delightful. It was a really cute experience and I’m glad we visited. We did nothing after the park though because those days of hot hot heat took their toll on us and we both crashed hard.
It couldn’t have been easier to get there… a straight shot train ride with Disney being the last stop on the line. EASY!
We accidentally watched the parade… all of a sudden it was starting!
A photobomb by Peter Pan
The park had really cool metal sculptures surrounding the castle.
My girl, Ursula
Loved her hair!
Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite classic Disney fairytales… and I particularly love the three fairies!
A rainbow of Dumbos
Nature!
Adventureland… or wait… Frontierland! Yeah. Frontierland!
Bird photobomb!
Phantom Manor
The sun finally came out!
The balloon game at Disneyland Paris was not strong. Just these character balloons… that’s it!
Quilts inside the castle
Beautiful stained glass on the second floor of the castle
Mickey shaped foods, of course.
A rainbow heart in the train station on our way back to the hotel.
New Loungefly!!
I also found this Loungefly at the Disney store in Dublin, of all places. It’s sold out entirely in the United States and is a rare item, so I was thrilled to find it. I’m a huge Mickey waffle fan!
And this concludes our day of Disney nerdiness!
