Where We Stayed: The Killarney Plaza Hotel
We started our day with a ride on a horse-drawn jaunting car through Killarney National Park. From there we hopped on the bus and started our Ring of Kerry journey. The Ring of Kerry is a 111-mile tourist route in County Kerry — and it’s a tourist route for a reason: it is gorgeous. The Ring of Kerry was one of our favorite parts of this trip. The entire experience reminded me a little bit of the Road to Hana in Hawaii — winding roads, takes all day to go 111 miles, goregous scenery at every turn, etc.
We stopped at many little towns during the course of our journey: Killorglin, Cahersiveen (the birthplace of Irish patriot Daniel O’Connell), Waterville (Charlie Chaplin and his family vacationed there and there’s a statue of him in the center of the village), Sneem (colorful and cute).
The Ring of Kerry was stunning and so GREEN. I’ll never get over how gorgeous and magical Ireland is — it really does get into your blood and it changes your heart.

It was windy.
Sorry that my hair got in your face, honey.
Let’s go charge our crystals!
Little sheep everywhere!

Back in civilization — Killarney. Killarney was one of our favorite stops on the tour.
I love hydrangeas. Can you tell?
